Buyer Policies — Kargo
DSP partners will use commercially reasonable efforts to ensure that Ads do not contain, or contain links to, any Objectionable Content. Publisher recognizes and agrees that Advertisers, not Kargo, control the content of Ads and that if Publisher in good faith believes that an Ad contains Objectionable Content, Publisher’s sole recourse shall be to notify Kargo and to remove such Ad immediately. “Objectionable Content” means content that is pornographic, obscene, illegal, racist, libelous, defamatory, contrary to public policy, or otherwise unlawful; content that contains hate speech, “spam,” malicious code; and/or content promoting pornography, the use of illegal substances, illegal activity, violence, bigotry, discrimination based on race, gender, sex, religion, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or sexual orientation or identification, hate, “spam,” mail fraud, pyramid schemes, or investment opportunities or advice not permitted by law.
On top of this, campaigns will be accepted on a case-by-case basis for the below categories:
- CBD
- Cannabis
- Gambling
- Political
The following categories are prohibited:
- Tobacco
- E-cigarettes
- Fireworks
- Firearms
POLITICAL BUYER POLICIES FOR KARGO GLOBAL LLC
Kargo accepts political advertising through direct and programmatic marketplace channels on a case-by-case basis. Buyers must adhere to Kargo guidelines as listed below.
- All political advertisements must comply with all applicable laws and regulations
- Funding of political ads that originate outside the US is prohibited
- Buyers must be based in the US and the billing location must be in the US
- State and local elections and ballot measures from the following states will be carefully reviewed and approved on a case-by-case basis: CA, NJ, NV, MD, and WA
- Advertising purchased by third-party Independent Expenditure Committees (IECs) requires special approval
- Any ads with graphic messaging and/or imagery, misinformation, or violence are prohibited
- All political campaign creatives must include DAA’s political ad icon, "Paid for by" or "Authorized by" so that the ad identifies who paid for the ad and whether or not it was authorized by a candidate and/or an organization
- All political campaign creatives must be approved by Kargo prior to launch
- Political advertisements cannot give the appearance that Kargo supports or favors any particular candidate, party, or political agenda
- All direct and programmatic political campaigns must have a signed political addendum or agreement with Kargo before launching any campaign Kargo may update these Political Ad Guidelines from time to time upon notice to Buyers.
Modifications to this policy
If we update this Policy, we will notify you by posting a new Policy on this page. If we make any revisions that materially change the ways in which we use or share the information previously collected from you through our Services, we will give you the opportunity to opt-out of such changes before applying them to that information.
